1.BUILDING PROJECT
A new three-story building to provide more classroom spaces
This project was totally funded by JHLC OLD GIRLS ASSOCIATIONS IN JAFFNA COLOMBO UK AUSTRALIA AND CANADA. The JHLC OGA UK initial share £10000.00 was agreed by former President Mrs Susila Kurumoorthy ( April 2013 - March 2015) continued by President Mrs Anandaluxmy Gnanasampathan (April 2015 - March 2017)and continued by President Mrs Vinothini Barathan (April 2017 - March 2019)
THE TOTAL PROJECT COST AT COMPLETION WAS - 29,500,310.00 SriLankan Rupees
JHLC OGA UK late team (2017 - 2019) shared - 5,083,230.00 Srilankan Rupees with increased Total cost
The Project was completed in August 2017 and a grand opening ceremony was held on 6th September 2017 in presence of Education Minister.
2.OTHER FOCUSES
1) Drive performance culture - Providing support and encouragement to students who are participating in competitions;
2) Growth and innovation - Initiating to provide iPads and laptops
3) Develop talent and knowledge - Providing after school support and lessons to students to help them reach their full potential.
